The Garden City

The Town of Mount Royal, most of which has been designated a National Historic Site of Canada, was designed as a garden city a century ago on the north-west side of Mount Royal. It is renowned for its high-end housing, heritage architecture and abundant green spaces, including 30 parks. It boasts a quaint, traditional-style town centre with many commercial amenities, and although geographically close to Montreal’s urban core and accessible to highways, it maintains a sense of tranquility and a welcoming ambience for families. Residents enjoy access to parks, athletic facilities, libraries and sought-after schools.

The nearby Carré Lucerne, at the corner of Lucerne and Plymouth Streets, is in the process of being upgraded. New tenants in this shopping facility will include Provigo, Pharmaprix, Starbucks, Ben & Florentine, Scotiabank and Subway. In an effort to gain LEED certification, the Carré Lucerne will have charging stations for electric vehicles in an effort to be sustainable.
